Let's celebrate! The Birthday Collection is finally here!
The Birthday Collection has been in the works for months and I am so pleased to be able to share them all with you at long last. For this series, I thought about all of the fun things we often do on our birthdays - bottomless brunches, drinking prosecco, eating cake, receiving money in cards!
My favourite birthday tradition is to have a Colin the caterpillar cake 🐛 - I have had one for as long as I remember and it is something I always look forward to. I haven’t found a chocolate cake that beats it but it can’t be just any caterpillar cake! It has to be M&S’s Colin the Caterpillar cake! I, therefore, had to create a card for Colin and I love the little caterpillar illustration I’ve included.
As with my previous card collections, I have used the ampersand (&) throughout the series, keeping things consistent and tied to my brand name. It’s been really fun figuring out two things that go well together and both relate to birthdays.
I print all the cards by hand using my trusty foil press and I make sure to source luxury cardstock and gold foil for each job. For the envelopes, I have used a mixture of colours to coincide with the mood of each individual card, all supplied by a great envelope supplier.
